We're super excited to launch our light and seasonal small plates menu that celebrates this once in a lifetime sporting event coming to our beautiful city. We’re particularly excited as events such as the gymnastics are being hosted just 5 minutes walk from us at Utilita Arena – so much so we’ve invented a cocktail for it!
The Ginger Gymnast is a refreshing summer tipple and at just £7 is an affordable cocktail to enjoy outside as the boats float past. A zingy upgrade on a traditional Pimms, it’s sunshine in a glass and bound to put a spring in your step.
Our unique setting nestled in a loop in the canal, with luxury canal boats moored nearby and little goslings swimming in the water, is a tranquil reprieve from Birmingham’s bustling Brindley Place and Broad Street for tourists visiting our gorgeous city.
Highlights from our new summer plates menu includes our Salt Beef Platter with tender slow cooked brisket, our plant based Mushroom and Tarragon Pate and our Strawberry and Mozzarella Bruschetta - a real taste of summer. All of our Common Wealth Game inspired dishes range from £6 - £9 so they won't break the bank.
We've also proudly collaborated with other local independent producers to create totally unique dishes for our customers during the games, like our house-baked focaccia served with Tan & Rosie’s Caribbean-inspired aubergine pesto. All vegan and simply delicious
Canal Square Market, funded by the Commonwealth Games Community Fund, is on our doorstep with the next market taking place on Friday 29th July when the games officially begin. It’s the perfect excuse to try our new summer plates menu, enjoy a Ginger Gymnast or two and buy some locally made artisan treats!
If you're driving to us please be aware of some changes to parking in the streets nearby during the games (28th July - 8th August). We do have permits available for regular customers that drive to us, if you would like to pick one of these up please email beatrice@jujuscafe.org.uk.
More details on visiting us and street parking on Browning Street, where we're based, can be found below.
