Unwind and Get Creative: Join an Art Course at Ju Ju’s Cafe

Ju Ju’s Cafe has teamed up with Asha from Ambience Arts Events to bring you a relaxed and immersive art experience—where creativity, great food, and good company come together in the best way possible! Whether you’re a city professional, a visitor exploring Birmingham, or just someone who fancies picking up a paintbrush, this is your chance to let loose and discover the joy of painting.

Get Creative in a Laid-Back Atmosphere

Our art classes are all about unwinding, having a laugh, and picking up some painting skills along the way. Whether you're a total beginner or you've dabbled in art before, our talented professional artists will guide you through a variety of fun techniques. No pressure, no perfection—just a chance to explore and create in a friendly setting.

Over the 6-week course, you’ll get to:

• Master basic drawing techniques

• Play with colour mixing and tonal blending

• Experiment with textures and layering

• Get the hang of composition and perspective

We’ll be working with different mediums—watercolours, acrylics, and oils—so you can find what suits your style best. By the end of the course, you’ll have a bunch of finished pieces to show off and maybe even a new creative obsession!

Class Schedule

Each session is designed to be engaging, inspiring, and (most importantly) fun! Here’s what’s in store:

1) Thursday 24th April | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Fallen Leaves (Acrylics) – Capture the beauty of autumn with textured acrylic techniques.

2) Thursday 1st May | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Fallen Leaves Continued – Layer up and add finishing touches. (2-part class)

3) Thursday 8th May | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Loose Florals with Watercolours – Go with the flow and paint beautiful, expressive florals.

4) Thursday 15th May | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Henry Rousseau Inspired Jungle – Create a bold, tropical masterpiece inspired by the legend himself.

5) Thursday 22nd May | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Henry Rousseau Inspired Jungle Continued – Add depth, detail, and that finishing flourish. (2-part class)

6) Thursday 29th May | 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Your Choice of Medium and Design – Pick your favourite style and get expert tips to create your final piece.

Can’t commit to all 6 weeks? No worries! While Classes 1 & 2 and Classes 4 & 5 must be booked together, the rest can be booked as standalone sessions—flexibility is key!
